Your Privacy Rights
Use this page to exercise your consumer privacy rights. This form is used to process privacy rights requests from residents of any US state, and you will be asked to identify your state of residence. Your rights, and how each applies to your state, are described in full in our Privacy Policy.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, "CCPA"), California residents have the right to know what Personal Information we collect about them, to request deletion or correction of their Personal Information, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of their Personal Information.
Categories of Personal Information we collect: (a) identifiers, such as your first name, last name, e-mail address, telephone number, ZIP code and, where requested, your street address, city and state; (b) commercial information, such as the details of the vehicle, property, drivers and coverage you are requesting insurance quotes for, and your current insurance status; (c) Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as your IP address, IP address history, device and browser information (user agent), and information regarding your interaction with the Site; and (d) records evidencing your consent to be contacted, including compliance certificates and digital records created through third-party services such as TrustedForm and Jornaya LeadiD. We collect this information directly from you when you complete a form on the Site and automatically when you visit the Site, including through cookies and third-party pixels such as Google Analytics and the Meta pixel.
We sell and/or share Personal Information: when you submit a request to be matched with insurance carriers, agents and marketing partners, InsureCompareNow.com shares your Personal Information with, and may sell it to, those partners so that they may contact you about their products and services. This constitutes a "sale" or "sharing" of Personal Information under the CCPA and other state privacy laws. A list of our marketing partners is available on our Partner List page. You may opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information by completing the form below. We do not knowingly sell or share the Personal Information of consumers under sixteen (16) years of age.
Right to Know, Delete and Correct: you have the right to request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you, the categories of sources of that information, the business or commercial purposes for collecting, selling or sharing it, and the categories of third parties to whom it was disclosed. You also have the right to request that we delete Personal Information we have collected from you, and to request that we correct inaccurate Personal Information we maintain about you, subject to the exceptions permitted by law.
Residents of other states: if you reside in Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah or Virginia, you have comparable rights under your state's consumer data privacy law, which may also include the right to data portability, the right to opt out of targeted advertising and profiling, and the right to appeal a denial of your request. Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of covered information under NRS 603A. Use this form and identify your state of residence, and we will process your request under the law that applies to you.
To file your request, please complete the form below. On receipt of your request, we may request additional information if we are unable to verify your identity based on comparing the information you submit with information we retain in our files, or if we believe additional information is needed to verify your identity. If you request to receive the specific pieces of Personal Information in our files about you, we will send you and require you to return a signed declaration, under penalty of perjury, verifying your identity and request.
If you file a request to know, delete, or correct your Personal Information, we have 45 days to respond to your request. We may also inform you that we need up to 45 additional days to respond and the reason we need additional time. If you opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information, we have 15 days to process your opt-out request.
Non-Discrimination: we will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. We will not deny you services, charge you a different price, or provide a different level or quality of service because you exercised your rights.
Authorized Agents: if you are an authorized agent of a requesting consumer, you must provide a written authorization from the consumer or a copy of a lawful power of attorney that permits you to submit the request on the consumer's behalf. You may provide that written authorization to us via email at [email protected] after submitting the request. We may contact you or the consumer on whose behalf you claim to act to verify your authorization.
Additional information about how we collect, use, and disclose Personal Information, and methods by which you may contact us with questions, can be found in our Privacy Policy. You may find the answer you are looking for faster by reviewing the Privacy Policy than by submitting a request and waiting for our response. You may also contact us with questions about this page or your privacy rights at [email protected].
